Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Velvets are liquid lipstick that have a matte finnish. Although the look of the lipstick states that it is matt it feels creamy on the lips and is not at all drying. I like this product because they apply easily. They are very long lasting and durable; as I have worn this lip velvet to a 3 hour gymnastics training and did not have to reapply once, and that is what I call a long lasting lipstick!
I like to apply the lip velvet with a lip brush. I personally like the lip brush by Revlon. There lip brush is small enough to fit into a make up bag but also the same size as a normal brush, because the lid can be put on the end of the brush as an opsinal extension. The brush helps to apply products more evenly so colours don’t looking blotchy on the lips.
I got my Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Velvet in the colour Burning Lava which is the shade 505. they come in a total of 5 different shades. that includes a nude (apollo), pink (atomic rose), orange (orange-ology), red (burning lava) and a purple (meteoric matte).
I do like the packaging of the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Velvetas it is the same packaging as the apocalips lip lacquer. However as the lip velvets are matte so the look of the packaging has gone from shiny to matte black this makes it fit in with the theme of the rest of the product. The majority of the writing on the packaging is in silver but some of it is outlined silver to snaz it up a bit.
There are quite a lot of different lip velvet colours available to purchase although I do prefer this one to other high end lip velvets. This product retails at £6.49 at superdrug and is available in different store aswell. I do in fact like this product and will be purchasing it again in different colours as I believe them to be good quality and not lip drying.
This product would be good for someone that doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on a lot of high end products but still wants the same effect.
